NHS and Key Club have partnered this year for the Out of the Darkness/Montana Day of Action. As part of our service project, we have set a school-wide goal of raising $1,500 toward the cause. We’ve decided to participate in a "flash fundraiser," where we would like to put a labeled mason jar in each classroom and to have a friendly competition between classes as to which 1st period can raise the most money. Winners will receive ice cream or something similar in the future. The fundraiser will run this week only, Tuesday through Thursday.

The DCHS Red Devils Track and Field teams competed at the Wibaux Invitational on Saturday. The girls team took 3rd place, while the boys team won the meet. Go Devils!

The DCHS Key Club and National Honors Society have partnered up to put on the first Out of the Darkness Day of Action Carnival in Llyod Square Park on April 22nd. There will be games for all ages. Registration for the next Drivers Education Class is open until noon on Friday, April 30th. Registration is via an online form at

Class enrollment is limited, so payment of $265.00, payable to DCHS, must be received at the DCHS office by April 30th to reserve your student’s age-based priority registration. To be eligible for this class a student must reach their 15th birthday on or before November 30, 2021. Plans for a fall class are undecided at this time.
Class begins with a 6:00 pm parent meeting on Monday, May 10th, in the DCHS Cafeteria. Morning classes begin the next day and will be held Monday through Wednesday 6:15-7:45 am until school ends and will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to noon from June 1st to the end of the class on June 30th.

We were asked by the Health Department to remind everyone to be diligent with cleaning. There is now community spread with the Norovirus. Also, please remind your students to not share their electronics to also help mitigate spread. Thank you for your help with making our schools and community safe!

Prom Attendees! The 2021 DCHS prom is on April 17th. The last day for tuxes (Squad Sports) and out of town guest forms (in office) is tomorrow, April 1st. The last day for flowers (The Flower Basket) is April 9th and the last day for garters (Enchanted Room) is April 14th. Grand March starts at 8 pm and pictures will go from 6-7:45. Tickets for students will be sold during lunch on April 7th, 8th, 9th and 12th. Tickets for two are $40 and individual tickets are $25. Five hours of volunteer work for prom is FREE tickets. There is a decoration (April 12th-16th) sign up in Ms. Broaddus’ room if you are interested in helping out. Admission for Grand March is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
