On Saturday, November 11, 2022, the DCHS Forensics team competed in Circle, Montana. Of the 10 team members in attendance, 8 received awards.
Ora Neves - 2nd in Dramatic Solo
MacKenzie Duede - 3rd in Original Oratory
Alex Whitmer & Jacob Beach - 5th in Humorous Theater
Jade Mittelstaed - 5th in Dramatic Oral Interpretation
Marie Clark - 5th in Lincoln-Douglas Debate
Cassidy Rau - 6th in Informative Speaking
Lillian Rowland - 7th in Informative Speaking
The DCHS team received trophies for 2nd place in both Class A Speech and Class A Drama sweeps.

DCHS Co-Ed is this Saturday, November 19. Grand March will begin at 8 pm with the dance to follow after.
DCHS is excited to be hosting a VERY large Forensics meet in Glendive at WMS and DCHS on January 7, 2023. However, we need help with judges for the meet, and we need a lot of them!!! No experience is necessary and we promise you'll enjoy the time you spend there.
If you or anyone you know is interested in judging the wide variety of events at the meet, please go to the link below and fill in the form. Mrs. Tuma will be in contact later in December to make sure you're still available and to let you know the times and events you are assigned to. She will also be emailing helpful videos and instructions about how to judge the various events. Keep checking your email after signing up!

MacKenzie Duede took 3rd in Original Oratory, Cassidy Rau took 5th and Lillian Rowland took 6th in Informative Speaking, Ora Neves took 5th and Lily Olmstead took 6th in Dramatic Solo, and Gage Schlosser took 5th in Impromptu Speaking. So proud of our team!

COED is scheduled for Saturday, November 19th. Doors open at 6:00, pictures from 6:00- 7:45, Grand March at 8:00, dance to follow. If you plan to attend the dance you must be present for at least half of the day on Thursday November 17th.

REMINDER: DCHS and the rest of Glendive Public Schools is hosting Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight until 8 pm. We would love to see as many people there as possible!

Juniors and Seniors: Several college representatives will be visiting DCHS in the next week. Carroll College will be here on Thursday, November 3 at 8:00, and Williston State College will be here on Monday, November 7th at 12 pm. Northern and Carroll will be in the counseling office, and Williston will have a table outside the cafeteria. Please see Mrs. Hoffer with any questions.
Coed Tickets: We will be selling COED tickets Nov. 7th through Nov. 14th during lunch outside the cafeteria. Tickets are $20 dollars each. Please pay when you sign up.
COED: If you are planning to bring an out of town guest to COED there is a permission slip in the principal’s office. They are due back to the office Monday, Nov. 14th.
Sign up sheets for winter cheer are in the office. Please sign up by November 10th. Information for try-outs on November 17 and 18 will be sent out via text message.
