Dear Parents and Guardians,
This morning, the decision has been made to cancel bus routes due to icy conditions on the back roads. While the main roads are in relatively good shape, the back roads remain slick and make it difficult for buses to start, stop, and navigate their routes effectively. We do plan for buses to run this afternoon.
Note: We will still be holding school today. If you feel it is not safe for your student to attend, we completely understand and respect your decision. Parents have the right and responsibility to make attendance decisions based on their unique circumstances, as we recognize that everyone’s situation is different. Please notify your student’s school as you would for any other absence if you choose to keep them home today.
At Glendive Public Schools, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. Decisions like this are never easy, as we know the challenges that cancellations and adjustments can cause for families. We appreciate your understanding and support as we balance the need to ensure safety with the importance of keeping our schools open to serve our students and families.
